Creating a new user account. For maximum site security and content control, all new user accounts must be authorized by an amaranthinstitute.org administrator. Upon clicking “Create new account”, the required username and password will be solicited and  subsequently this information will be sent to amaranthinstitute.org administrators for account approval. New users will be notified via e-mail.

Creation of editorial content. amaranthinstitute.org users are able to create both Blog posts and full Articles for publication on the Website. For reasons of maximum site security, the format of both forms of content is restricted to Filtered HTML. This permits the creation of simple and informative documents that, using the limited selection of editing options available, will guarantee a standardized, attractive aesthetic to user-generated documents across the Website. Users are currently permitted to publish one image with each Article. Please follow the on-screen instructions to attach your image.

Registered Users are also able to leave comments on amaranthinstitute.org content, users' Blog posts and Articles. Comments are only permitted in Pure Text format. Providing maximum security, this format does not permit the inclusion of HTML programming code or control codes created by complex commercial applications such as Microsoft Word. Ideally, comments should be typed directly into the dialogue box. Before performing a copy-paste process from a pre-created document or comment, please ensure comments are in a Pure Text format. The latest versions of PC and Mac Operating Systems offer a "Paste in pure text foramt" option upon 'right-clicking', or you should clean your text of undesired programming codes:

PC Users: copy and paste your text into a new document created in Microsoft Notepad (or similar text editor) and then copy and paste that text into the comments dialogue.

MAC Users: copy and paste your text into a new document created in SimpleText (or similar text editor) and then copy and paste that text into the comments dialogue.
